As an international open-access journal, BioSocial Health Journal (BSHJ) is a peer-reviewed and multidisciplinary forum for the publication of studies aimed at understanding the implications and approaches to Bio-Psycho-Social aspects of health and disease. Hence, BSHJ welcomes both quantitative and qualitative studies focusing on the biosocial aspects of well-being, and how these aspects may affect health and disease, particularly those interventional studies that reflect professionals’ experiences, worldwide. As a quarterly journal, BSHJ is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics, and follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.
BioSocial Health Journal rules:
BSHJ is officially associated with The Iranian Health Education & Promotion Association. As a quarterly journal, BSHJ follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) as well as the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is also in the process of applying for COPE membership. BSHJ endorses and believes in the Sarajevo Declaration on Integrity and Visibility of Scholarly Publications.
Publication license and copyright
Upon submission, the authors are required to sign a license form for open access publication of their work in the journal, granting the right to BioSocial Health Journal (BSHJ). The authors agree to the publication of their article under the Creative Commons license 4.0 (CC-BY) while retaining the copyright to their work.
APC in the BSHJ Journal
However, in the cases of genuine need, we grant waivers. We apply article publishing charge (APC) waivers or discounts to those articles for which the corresponding author(s) declare that they cannot afford the APC to publish their article in the journal. So, if the authors’ team can demonstrate that they have had no research funding, we will consider individual waiver/discount requests on a case-by-case basis.
